The dot story
dot is the brainchild of our founders Arun Ravindranathan and Kehul Patel, who have worked in accountancy outsourcing for over 20 years. In their previous roles, Arun and Kehul grew their firm from a humble, tight-knit team of four employees to a major, award-winning outsourcing firm. They’ve worked with 18 of the Top 100 and three of the Top 20 UK accountancy practices.
In 2020, Arun and Kehul identified a Fintech-shaped gap in the accountancy outsourcing market. Namely, tech-driven outsourcers who could fill a resource need while optimising their clients’ accounting operation at the same time.
In effect, they joined the dots. And formed dot.

Kehul Patel
Founder and Director
Numbers run in Kehul’s genes but the thing that fascinates him the most is how accounting has evolved—from post to electronic submission, from mapping to tagging, from in-house to outsourced. Kehul has more than 20 years’ experience of accounting, systems and software knowledge, 10 years as an accountancy outsourcing COO, with an impressive track record for spearheading expansion and diversification efforts.
